Just curious if any locals here on the board made their way to Busch Gardens today for the opening of SheiKra. Busch Gardens was really making some money today, everything was busy. I arrived a half hour prior to opening, waited at the gates, walked quickly to SheiKra and then waited another hour to get on. At 1:00 I walked by and would estimate the wait to be somewhere in the 2 to 3 hour range, no joke.
Short Review:
Thrill rides don't bother me at all, the more intense the better but I must admit that I was a bit nervous heading up the very steep lift hill towards the top. While short, the ride it self is amazing, the first drop really takes your breath away, the inversion is timed perfectly, the second drop has added intensity by falling into the tunnell, and I was quite glad to see the water splash provide a large plume of water, but only following the car which provides only a slight mist for the riders (maybe more for the end riders because I was dead center). Overall it is not long enough to completley steal the show from Busch's other coasters but certainly stakes it's claim as a top notch thrill.
If you've ridden it let me know what you think!
