SHARKNADO IS COMING TO THE BIG SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody. Just to give a quick update, I went out to a local Regal Cinemas theater which will be playing Sharknado next Friday (August 02, 2013). Advanced tickets for the film officially went on sale Saturday night (7/27/13) at 11:00pm.
Here is a brief report from my experience last night which ultimately led to me getting tickets to next week's Sharknado showing!
Like I said, we planned way ahead. Even though tickets would not go on sale until 11pm, we decided to head to the theater earlier in the late afternoon to get a good spot in line. Apparently, word had gotten out about Sharknado showing next week, because we certainly weren't alone in wanting to score tickets. When we arrived at the theater, there were crowds already camping out in the parking lot & sidewalk leading up to the theater entrance.
What we saw when we arrived at the theater around 5:30pm Saturday evening:
By 7:30pm, a small rain shower was hovering overhead. But this did not dampen our spirits...as Sharknado was on everyone's minds! The crowds of people waiting stayed & toughed out the passing storm.
After sunset, the lines wrapped around the theater building even further. I was beginning to worry all the tickets would be sold out before we even made it to the building.
Lines by 9:30pm
Finally, 11:00pm rolled around, and it was officially time for Sharknado tickets to go on sale! It took over 3 hours to make it inside the theater building. Inside, there were even MORE lines anxiously awaiting the purchase of cinematic excellence.

After waiting another 1.5 hrs inside the building, we finally made it to the ticket window & purchased tickets to next week's showing of Sharknado! It was certainly worth the wait.
As we were leaving, there was heavy traffic coming & going who either had purchased tickets, or were trying to find a parking spot to get in line. There were cops directing Sharknado traffic, and helping things move smoothly, but it still took us an hour just to get back onto the interstate!

That wraps up my report from last night's/this morning's ordeal in getting tickets to next Friday's showing of Sharknado on the big screen. Was it worth it? For any other film, I'd have to say no. But for THIS movie...I'd do it all over again in a second. Pure cinematic excellence for the ages.
Now it's time to get some rest.

Don't forget Sharktopus.I was flipping through the channels, and saw so many other shark movies on syfy. There is swamp shark, ghost shark, super shark, and probably more.
