I know they have this at another thread and other WDW boards but they never have one for DLR, so I thought I would sell-out by starting one here! Please share your best tips, advice, etc. on these boards!!!

I guess I'll start with the first tip: If you plan eat on properties at a more "popular" restraunt, make reservations before your trip and arrive early.

If it's your birthday, you'll get a free McFlurry at the DCA McDonalds, and a free bag of tortillas as the Mission Tortilla Factory

Been a while since I originally posted this, so if you missed it before....

Touch the brass apple on the pedestal outside Snow White ride.
Indy Queue-There's a straight section with many verticle bamboo poles. One of these, on the left, is clearly different-yank it.
Tarzan's Treehouse-there's a room with the leopard, use your hand to break the plane (plane, not pane) of the window you look through.
Drink from the water fountain by the gas station in Toontown.
For a quiet, isolated spot to sit back, find the courtyard within the Disney Gallery.
A locals' favorite for counter service is Whitewater Snacks in the Grand Cal hotel.
I have never heard of a confirmed instance of anyone being denied use of a fastpass after the window ends. I have personally used one nearly 12 hours after the window ended. Roger Rabbit, Star Tours and Grizzly River Run's distribution machines are not connected to the fastpass network. You can get a FP for any/all of them when you have one already for something else.
Alladin should be seen from the front of the second level.
Storybookland and Big Thunder are better at night.
Getting a PS for the earliest seating and arriving early is the best way to get a waterside table at the Blue Bayou.
Breakfast at the Riverbelle Terrace is without question the best meal I've ever eaten in any theme park.
The best food value is Chowder in a breadbowl from the window under the Disney Gallery.
If the Electrical Parade starts when the park closes, see it from Paradise Pier, which it will reach after 15-20 minutes. It will be easy to secure a spot at the last minute, and a stress free walk out, especially if you go through the Griz Peak area.

Note: I don't think ST has FP anymore, and I think they have changed the direction of the Electrical parade.

Cheers.

Why? What happens? It will be a while before I'm at DL again, so tell me. I'm in suspense. PM me if you don't want to spoil it for everyone. Thanks!

bump!

I am taking my first trip next year (for my 25th birthday) and it will also be my husband's first trip out.

Anyone have more advice?! maybe something to do with the 50th anniversary celebration? or for those who might be celebrating their birthday during thier stay?

And does anyone recommend this following thought.....since MK opens up at 8AM, and DCA opens at 10 AM, I planned on going at 8Am for breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace then going over to DCA for the day. it is worth the push against the crowds?

The only tips I can think of is split your party up when it comes to fastpasses, meaning have somebody wait in a line (or get ready to), and have your other party member run to get fastpasses for another thing. Depending on your visit length do all the parades and fireworks in the same day, so that you can use the next days to ride rides while everybody else is standing around watching the shows. For some reason DL lines get really low during fireworks and parades, where as WDW lines pretty much remain the same.
And if you are low on cash check out the Boudin Bakery tour, or the Mission Tortilla tour for a quick snack.

If you happen to be there one of the few days out of the year when it's cool and rainy, GET CHURROS!! MY dad and I did that in November of 2002, and it really helped improve our day.

BTW, 500th POST!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:
