Shamu Closes Due To Crowds 12/29/07

Hey all. I tried to go down to SeaWorld for some free beer yesterday, but couldn't even get in the parking area. They had signs out at 1pm saying SeaWorld is not letting people in due to high crowd volume. It also said they would try letting people back in around 5.

I told them employees that I'm a Platinum Passholder and they said, "do you live in Orlando?" I responded, "yes." They said, "come back next weekend, you don't want to be in the park today, it's crazy."

I thanked them for the honesty and got out of the tourist areas of town and hit the links.

Just thought this was worth passing along. Sorry, I couldn't get the camera out in time to take pics of the sign.

I was down at SeaWorld today trying to use some free tickets we won at a raffle that expire tomorrow. It was about 1:30 and there were easily a couple hundred cars around the area waiting in long lines just to find out the park was closed. As my brother who was at Magic Kingdom on the 26th said "I didn't really want to go, I mean, you know its crowded when you can't see you feet"
