Shades of Green Transportation

Could someone who has stayed at Shades of Green give me information on their transportation system? My two main questions are:

1. What is the schedule, i.e. how often do they run?
2. Does the bus only go to the TTC, or does it go to the parks?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

It's a little hard to read on the Shades of Green website, but it looks like buses run once an hour to Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon, and the Downtown Disney area, and they run every 20 mins to the Transportation & Ticket center from which you can get monorails to Magic Kingdom and Epcot

You can also walk down the drive and across the road to the Polynesian. There you can use Disney transportation including the monorail. :cat:

We stayed a couple of years ago and the transportation was very regular and much less crowded than regular disney buses, although not as frequent. Just ask the front desk for a bus schedule and allow enough time when going to MK or Epcot to travel via the TTC. I will say the walk to the Poly is a pretty good hike, so we never attempted it. My bro-in-law is USAF and was able to get a very good deal on a town car service to/from the airport, which was cheaper than a taxi (with his military discount).

Best mode of transportation to and from Orlando International from / to WDW is Mears. Cost you
$35 roundtrip.

As for on WDW property transportation, the coolest aspect of staying at Shades of Green is that you are free to use WDW modes of transportation and use Shades of Green transportation. Incorporate both and use them to your advantage.

I do highly suggest riding the Shady Shuttle (golf cart) or walking down the path to across the street to the Polynesian so you can take the monorail. A lot of things are within walking distance from Shades.

Even cooler for $10 roundtrip you can order a van to take you off Disney property to Universal and/or Sea World for the day. Need 24 hour reservation.
