OK...Let's say I make reservations at the Shades of Green or any other hotel...and I want bus transportation BEFORE I check in (like around 8:00) - I would check in in the afternoon - to the MAGIC KINGDOM...Am I allowed to go? How do I get a bus? Last question - - will it take me outside the gates or to the Monorail Station?

Thanks!! :D

Not sure about the time question. But I am almost sure that the SoG bis takes you to the TTC not the MK. Which means having to go throught the monorail or boat. The other Disney Owned hotels (and swan/dolphin) drop you off at the MK so no monorail needed.

Let's leave SOG out of the equation for the moment, as I'm not sure how that works. Let's say I'm checking into AKL next Friday (which I am) If I arrive at the hotel, say at 7:30, can I park, catch a bus to MK, and check in later? Yes, I think I can. I would go to the desk and get a resort card...they just wouldn't necessarily assign my room yet (I've done this before, but never before 8AM) You could only catch the earliest bus, which is usually no earlier than an hour before the park is scheduled to open. It will take you right to the front entrance of MK, skipping the monorail & boat. If you didn't want to take the time to stop at the desk, just park and walk to the bus stop, and catch the MK bus. I've never been asked for a resort card before boarding a bus, and I would think that as long as you have your reservation confirmation with you, it would be OK. Personally, I would take the extra time to go to the desk and make sure! I hope this is the question you were asking!

BTW, When we stayed at SOG (Disney Inn) we usually walked over to the Poly and got the monorail there. A bit of a hike, but seemed faster.

Disney Buses are public transportation through WDW now. You don't have to be staying at a WDW Resort to use it. Same thing with the Monorail and Boats.

So it sounds like it's just a matter of parking at the resort. If you have a valid reservation, you should have no problem!
