So there you have it. It's cute, but it's a ride that I would NOT wait more than 20 minuets to go on. I wouldn't really re-ride it again. To be sure, it's no "Mickey’s Philermagic." No sense of "WOW" as you walk out the door, not much talk of people saying stuff like "that was the coolest thing ever" I'm actually going to predict that we will see a change in the ride in the next month or so. I found that the whole mix of Cartoon on the video and then live action at the end didn't work. If were going to go with a cartoon pre-show, then stick with it thru the ride. Or go with live action all the way thru.

I can almost say that I agree with you 98%. I wasn't "blown away" by the Stitch AA. It was done well, but didn't make me "gawk in awe" by any means.

Blatant plug for my review here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=46664

I would be shocked if they actually made enough changes to address any of the problems you mentioned. If would seem that it would take far to long to implement.

I too noticed that no one was excited or seemed to care less what just happened after coming off the ride. :( :( :(

Thanks for the review!!! It sounds to me that it isn't complete yet, so I will withhold judgement until the ride is finished and Michael Eisner gives it his blessing. BTW, a friend of mine rode Alien Encounter when it first opened and guess who was riding next to him? Michael Eisner. After the ride concluded, Eisner asked my friend how he liked it and Eisner told him that he didn't think it was scary enough and that it will be changed. Alien Encounter changed I think three times before Eisner officially opened it. I could imagine something similiar happening with Stitch.

To be brutally honest, do you think that Eisner would make the trip for this attraction? AE was a far bigger project (in terms of money & park investment at the time), so I can't see him "approving" this attraction.

Heck, I hope I'm wrong and he dislikes it and is retooled, but I'm not holding my breath. :(

Mouseplanet have a review today:

A few select quotes:
Spoilers? It's tough to figure out how any of us who have witnessed this attraction can be accused of providing spoilers. SGE is very close to what AE offered Magic Kingdom guests...except it does not have as strong a script or deliver a storyline that partners well with the attraction's technology.
Watching the guests exit out the attraction I did not see one child jumping up and down and cry out, "Can we do it again?" Nor did I see any giddiness on any adult face. Sure there were some smiles but there was no enthusiasm. Most of the young children looked confused as they exited the attraction. That's not the reaction I would have been shooting for.
As I walked out of the Merchant of Venus (with neither a Pleakley nor a Stitch doll), I glanced over to the Carousel of Progress and thought to myself, "Egad, they are closing the wrong attraction."

"Gayness" as in, the guard is VERY gay... I mean, he "camps it up" quite a lot. You'll see what I mean, once you view the pre-show.

Yes, he is known to ride EVERY new attraction in the state-side parks before declaring them officially open.

My favorite quotes were:

" We probably should have treated this chamber like the theater following the Maelstrom attraction in EPCOT's World Showcase. It was too late now."

and

"That's a joke folks…because Stitch's Great Escape is a joke."

Ouch! Man they better fix this thing if indeed children aren't too thrilled about it. Maybe we'll get a different side of things when regular, non WDW-junkies see this attraction. If not........ :lookaroun

I'd have to agree with that as well. It was nice, one of the better AAs I've seen, but it wasn't as good as everyone had made it out to be (the BEST AA ever created). I can think of many others that were better....the Wicked Witch, S.I.R. (who made more movement in AE than SARGE does now in SGE), Hopper, Imhotep from Revenge of the Mummy.....
