I just thought it was cool to see the parks labeled on the Weather Channel. :)

Oh! I guess I missed the point. :brick:
I'll try to pay more attention next time.

Sounds like you guys got whacked...we got hit here in NY pretty bad for the last 2 nights. We were lucky, but a few towns over got hit hard, they are still trying to get electric back. Stay safe.

That's EXACTLY the program I want. Unfortunately, I live on a different planet than the mighty US of A. (Canada)

We sure do! Manitoba & Western Ontario are the northern tip of "Tornado" alley. Here in Southern Ontario, they're not as common but still we have one or two twisters a year.

In my neck of the woods, we're actually fairly famous. We made CNN a few years ago when the movie Twister was playing and a real tornado hit the old drive in theatre during the movie! It caused some damage, but not a lot. I wasn't there that night, but I can just imagine being one of those thinking about the incredible special effects <grin>

* truth now *

I should mention we here got a big kick out of the story, because it was really "blown" out of proportion. It's actually an "urban legend" full of half truths than real truths....

Well you guys got hit but we here in Memphis had the worst wind damage ever on Tues orning... we're about to be declared a national disater area....straight line winds hitting 100mph and over 300,000 without power... I was one of the lucky ones I had power back by noon that day but no cable till sometime yesterday.
