As much as 7DMT was hyped and I was disapointed in what we got, I place it overall better than SM. Factoring in the queue, the theming, the ride vehicle, the scenery, and the brief view of the witch, ( which I wish was better presented) SM falls behind. SM is a more thrilling coaster but overall it doesnt have all the components in place to help it come out ahead.

Interesting. I never need spine surgery after coming off Space Mountain. I feel fine, abs wanting to jump back on again. On top of that, it’s a far longer and rewarding ride, more thrilling, and is actually worth its long waits. Couldn’t say the same for the Mine Train which many find underwhelming. That makes Space Mountain the winner.

Different strokes for different folks.
OK! However the question wasn't what does everyone else like. It was how does it compare to the other based on my experience.

7D because of the smooth ride and the theming, but Space is such a classic. Now if it was Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, I might change my mind. Yeah, I'm that one guy who liked it.

I personally prefer dark rides or shows with AAs and atmosphere, which would normally make me lean towards Mine Train. I do enjoy roller coasters but thrills aren't my top priority when it comes to a ride. I love Space Mountain but in Tomorrowland I'll ride the People Mover or Carousel of Progress first. The problem I have with Mine Train is it's too fast to enjoy the AAs and atmosphere and too slow to be an enjoyable roller coaster and the only time I've actually ridden it was when I paid for a Fantasyland Early Morning Magic as I was never able to get a fastpass for it and couldn't justify the wait. If I had kids maybe that would change how I feel as it feels like a good introductory coaster for little ones.

This is a tough one. Obviously very different coasters, but I like both. I'll have to think on this one for a minute...
I voted for Space Mountain, but if the mine train was a little longer, it might have gotten my vote.

Big thunder mountain. Seven dwarfs is not worth it to wait an hour or more so I have only gone on it back in the day with fast pass and Space mountain needs a major update

I always hear about Space Mountain causing people back pain. I've never had an issue, but SDMT has been so painful for me that I've completely written it off. It doesn't matter if I'm going through a slender phase or put on some weight...SDMT is like someone driving nails into my hips. The only part of the ride that is really appealing to me is the non-coaster part with Heigh-Ho (just ride opinion-not even the hip pain part), while Space Mountain is fun for me throughout.

This is a ver though choice, but I had to go with which one I can’t leave the park without riding. I’m not from Florida so I can’t go all the time so when I do go to MK. I can not leave without riding Space Mountain. Maybe it just a classic but I just have to get a ride on SM before I leave.

Space Mountain every time. But like the last poll, these rides are so dissimilar, both would win in other categories.

7DMT is a great kiddie coaster, but for me, it's too short and tame to compete with pretty much anything. I will ride it every time in the park, unless the wait is 45min or longer. I wish they could have added 30 seconds somehow.

Space Mountain? It's a classic. It's dark. It's fast. It's fun. I wish it was better for taller people, though. It can be fun cramming in there with a bag.
