What month would you say had better weather, with LESS RAIN?? I'm not so much worried about the afternoon shower, just the rain all day. I love both months but I can't seem to remember the weather very clearly and on Sept. 17 what are the chances for a hurricane?? Thanks everyone!

Peak of Hurrican Season is Aug and Sept so you might want to go with Oct. Also It rains more in the sprind and summer then in the winter months so getting in as close to winter as you can will help.

But hey its still FL and it can rain all month if it still feels like it no matter what happens...all depends on luck!

October!

October by a mile! The crowds are virtually non-existant, it has never rained much when I have went, and the International Food & Wine Festival is not to be missed!:slurp:

Well, I don't know if the crowds are exactly non existant, but they are managable. This will be our 4th October trip, and we really prefer it over any other time. (Have not been at Christmas yet, so can't compare to that) but we enjoy October weather and be sure to go to MNSSHP if you get a chance. It's a lot of fun.

The crowds are smaller in October, and the weather is a little more predictable (not much). Someone else suggested the Halloween festivities, which is also a good idea and a good reason to go in October.
