Pre-Trip September Disneymoon PTR!

Hey everyone! I am busy busy planning our upcoming trip and our wedding! If you read my previous trip report you know that my fiancé and I got engaged on our last trip in September 2012! Our upcoming wedding is home in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sept 21,2013. We will be leaving for our disneymoon on Sept 23!

We had originally planned to take our disneymoon in November, but free dining was released, and Marc (fiancé) suggested we go then! He didn't have to twist my harm to hard to change plans! So I booked us for Sept 23-Oct 4! Of course the ADRs had already been open for these dates, but I was able to score everything we wanted except for BOG, oh well.

We will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, we stayed here last time and fell in love! I have previously stayed at ASMO, ASMU and CBR...to me they don't even compare to POFQ!

Our trip in September was Marc's first trip, and as hesitant as he was (thought it was for kids before we went)..he fell in love with disney and is overly excited for our next trip! He has already made comments about "what if there is an awesome bounce back offer??" Lol!

Per-trip Report!

Day 1- flights not booked yet, but we will be attempting to arrive as early as possible. Last year we arrived around lunch time and that would be ideal again! Once we get settled at PoFq we will head to DTD and then on to Boma for dinner at 5:50pm. This was where we had our first dinner last year, we really enjoyed it and hope to start a tradition.

Day 2- we will begin the day with 9:15 reservations at Crystal Palace. We are going to keep our eyes open for earlier ADRs so we can get in the park before opening. We have never dined here before and are looking forward to it! We will spend the day in the magic kingdom. The new fantasy land has opened since our last visit. Probably head back to the resort for a swim mid afternoon. No plans for the evening (still debating MNSSHP).

Day 3- no rush this morning, head to Epcot. Walk to beaches and cream for lunch. Then spend the day exploring. We have dinner reservations at Tappen Edo at 7:40, also never dined here before! Then EMH at Epcot that night!

Day 4- breakfast ADRs at Tusker house, also a favourite from our last trip. ADR for 9:15, park opens at 9.. So going to keep our eyes out for earlier to come available! Send the day at animal kingdom, a favourite of ours, not ride wise but just watching the animals. We also have dinner reservations for 7:50pm at Flying Fish tonight, something new for us! We plan to maybe go mini golfing after or just explore the boardwalk.

Day 5- studios day! ADR at 50's for 1:25pm. I have been there before, but its new to Marc! This was his pick for wanting to try this trip. No evening plans...

Day 6- typhoon lagoon is our pick of water park! We did not do any water parks last trip. Send the day here, dinner at boatwrights at our resort, maybe a carriage ride, and catch the evening movie. A low key day!

Day 7- no plans today! Maybe off site (sea world or universal?). Evening EMH at DHS. Catch fantasmic! No ADRs today!

Day 8- no plans again..maybe off site to do some shopping. Dinner ADR at Garden Grill in Epcot at 5:50pm, then hop the monorail to magic kingdom for evening EMH! Tis was the last ADR I made.. We had one credit left that I was unsure what to do with since I knew I needed something with easy access to MK for EMH, and since we are already dining at LTT and crystal palace..and everything close by was super late dining times that we would give garden grill a shot.. I ate there a few years ago and really enjoyed it.

Day 9- this day is also open, until dinner.. We have 6:15adr at T-Rex. We will be meeting my aunt, uncle and cousins for dinner (they are starting there 10 day vacation this day! ) we will part ways then Marc and I will go to cirque!

Day 10- today is devoted to the food and wine festival! We will explore world showcase all day, trying diffrent treats! We also booked Disney Food Blogs Snack Attack! Really looking forward to all the sweets and viewing of illuminations!!

Day 11- EmH at MK.. Arrive early! Watch opening show and we have lunch ADRs at Liberty Tree Tavern.. We enjoyed supper here last time and am looking forward to lunch and the oooey gooey toffee cake!

Day 12- departure day :(

Congratulations from one Disneymooner to another! Looks like some great plans, but I'd like to encourage you to sit and relax in La Cava del Tequila for your margarita in Mexico. They are pricey, but worth it IMO. There are lots of specialty margaritas. Blood Orange is my favorite!
I think you will really love Cirque! Enjoy every magical moment!

We are here now at pofq, been a little rainy but cleared up this afternoon :) we have a working fridge, despite being sent a letter saying we wouldn't :).. Not a big fan of the rapid fill, says my cups half empty when it's full, I started to fill with powerade only to notice it was empty (just pouring water), and it wouldn't let me pick another type for two and half minutes, which is a long time when your standing there thirsty and waiting...

But the hotel is beautiful, cast members have been great, food is yummy and the rides in MK yesterday were walk ons!
