Just had a quick look on park hours and looks like magic kingdom closes at 7pm 11th September. Does this sound correct? Also is wishes every night?

Yep this is normal it will probably be an MNSSHP night and if that's the case no there will be no fireworks for regular guests. You will have to purchase a MNSSHP ticket to see the special fireworks those evenings. Sept-Dec has many 7 pm closings (about 2-4 a week) due to MNSSHP and MVMCP. :)

I'm not sure if its ever this early, but I wouldn't mind if it is. Food and Wine and MNSSHP in one week sounds great to me!

Yes it has started this early before a few years ago the first party was the first week of September but last year it started on 9/15. So it varies lately. With as packed as the parties were last year they might be spreading the parties out longer to smooth out he the crowds. We love MNSSHP and MVMCP, oh and Food & Wine of course. Lol :)

Most likely a Halloween party but September 11th 2015 was Night of Joy so keep that event in mind also when booking for September..

That's being held now at the new ESPN building they are adding. If you look on the info for night of joy it's being held there this year. But this brings in crowds which I'm sure is why you mentioned this as well. :)

We go the 29th August. Normally go beginning of August so September is a first for us but it's my sons 2nd birthday on the 4th :)
When are the dates usually released for MNSSHP?

Someone in another thread answered "in about 6 weeks", so mid-end of April?? I know that that Oct. 31st sells out but does anyone know if will likely sell out the day the tickets go on sale? And, yes, I do know that AP holders do get 1st dibs on purchasing tickets. But does anyone know by how much advanced time they have to purchase tickets? I'm DYING to know when tickets go on sale as we planned our whole cruise around this (my fingers are crossed that "no costumes" policy doesn't apply to the MNSSHP this year).

AP holders get no advantage on buying earlier than the public that I have ever heard of except we get a discount on our tickets. I'm an AP most years and buy tickets. In fact we can only get our discounted tickets on certain nights. Like when we went on Halloween night we had to pay full price as with several other nights. And I'm DVC also and we have never been able to buy them early as AP or DVC or get an advantage for MNSSHP and MVMCP. Now we do get to buy Food & Wine events earlier than the public but not that parties when we bought them for MNSSHP or MVMCP.
Many dates now sell out so if you know when you want to go once the dates are released I would buy ASAP. :)

That's what I've mixed up--the discounts and the Food and Wine events. We were tinkering around with the though of whether it was worth getting AP this year but decided it likely wasn't going to save us anything since we weren't going to do our usual 10-14 day trip this year. Thanks for clearing that up :) I know that there is an uncharge on the Halloween and the dates right around it compared to the other dates. We went a few years ago and loved it. It was our favorite time to be in the parks--not to hot but still warm enough for the water parks and best of all (no love bugs :hungover:)
