Anyone give any insight on a September trip to WDW? Weather? Crowds? This is our first Sept trip, just trying to plan accordingly...

I have been going in September every year since 2009. We always go the week of Labor Day. We are a party of two.

Weather - It is Hot. It is fairly dry, for Central FL anyway.

Crowds- Relatively speaking, very low. Unofficial Guide says the lowest of the year. We have walked up before to, say Rose and Crown, Brown Derby, and been seated immediately. If you look online right now, there are openings at Le Cellier for Dinner for two, in spite of Free Dining being offered on those days (that may say more about recent changes there, risotto, credit/pricing, etc.) If you haven't booked ADR's, I would right away if you plan to. I have seen a 20 minute wait posted at Everest in late morning/lunch that was overstated. I have seen Soarin' at 20 in the middle of the day as well, although not typical. Toy Story still gets long waits. Resorts are not crowded, nor is transportation. Many special events speckle the month, so look for shorter hours some days.

Thank you ! I was worried seeing it was "Hurricane" season. I like October seeing its not too hot, so we shall see how Septemeber works out.

We havent made any reservations yet- but we will book up stuff asap.

Wish I was going in Sept! We had the best time last September! Crowds were so super low. So low infact, that when we got the The Land pavilion at 4:15pm for our 4:30 ADR at Garden Gril, there were still FP left for Soarin for 6:30pm... Ahhhh, the good old days of legacy FP! :) We also walked onto Splash Mountain on a hot day at noontime. GREAT crowds! Enjoy everyone!

This is what I like to hear! We are doing MNSSHP and with the Food and Wine, should be lots of things going on. Walkons! I havent heard that "legend" in quite a while :)

I will have to check it- but was it really that hot? (Not a fan)

Yes, there is a chance of inclement weather. I am not a meteorologist, but I think your chances decrease the later in the year you go.

Thanks again. Lots of firsts for us in this trip, including the hotel and going in September, so I appreciate all your insight.

This is our third September I'm a row going 0, we have traveled between sept 18-oct 7th and the crowds are low, most rides have minimal waits, the weather is great, occasional showers in the afternoon/evening and we would highly reccomend the haloween party!

Looks like a a few of us have trips overlapping!

It was pretty warm. Probably in the 80s? Our day we had low crowds at MK was on a MNSSHP night. Since the park closed at 7, people were elsewhere. So if you have a day planned to go to MK and don't care about the early closing and don'y mind missing MSEP and Wishes, definitely check MK out on a party day!

Yeah, we did the Halloween party in October last year. It was great but I think it was little cold (I think we wore jackets). I hope to do them again this year, as we will be there for the very start of the F& W and one of the first MNSSHP.

I was against going in September because of the weather, but doesnt sound that bad (potentially). I was afraid after hearing Hurricane season and high heat..

Sounds like we'll be there the same time as well! And POFQ as well!! First time staying there, so its a trip of firsts for us. We usually hit either the Values or CS, but I was excited for POFQ!

Sounds like September is a great time to be there.. Thanks!

Pofq is a great resort! This is our third time at this resort and can't imagine staying anywhere else! (Maybe riverside one day)!, the river boat is a great option to get to dtd so check that out, I've also hear yeehaw bob at riverside is great! We were lucky and booked a bounceback with free dining for pofq, otherwise we may have Ben forced to stay elsewhere!

Wow, 3x? Sounds like they must be doing something right. I am excited to see the Yee Haw Bob show too- people said the bar/show/etc were one of the best things about the hotels.

I have hear alot of people say the booked a bounceback trip, so depending on how this trip goes, I may have to do that too!

Thanks for your insight- I know its still 120 days, but I'm super excited now!

We actually were sweltering at the party but that was becauseof our costumes I think. They weren't exactly Florida heat in September friendly! lol
