I looked up threads about weather but I can't find where it specifies the end of Sept so I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere else. We are going to Disney Sept 25-Oct 1 2010. I found online where it shows that the average rainfall in Sept is right around 6 inches but in October is drops to 2 inches. What should we expect when we go? Since we are going the very last week of Sept will we have a better chance at missing a lot of rain?

Hot, Hot, Hot, HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And very likely afternoon showers most of the time. Bring some ponchos; when the rain starts many people leave, hang around because the rain usully does not last long and the park is fairly empty as the weather clears up.

The crowds will be light since all the schools will have returned to session by then.

Thank You!! My husband is VERY worried about the rain and wants to go later in the year but our school has the entire week off for a local fair that employs a lot of teachers and high school students so it's the perfect time for us to go. I can deal with daily afternoon showers, I was just worried about hours and hours of rain (which I know can still happen). Hopefully no hurricanes!!

Do not worry about the rain! Frankly, I welcome the showers... they clear out the parks and cool the air for a little while! Wait out the rain, the park will empty and you will be able to walk on and off rides.

One night at the MK... it rained (and I mean rained)! We waited it out, stopped into the bakery for some dessert, and then went outside to find a light drizzle coming down. The park was like a ghost town! We walked onto Jungle Cruise and Pirates! Then we walked out to the hub to watch Wishes. No crowds, plenty of space to pick a spot, and Wishes just sparkled with the light drizzle in the air. One of my most memorable evenings in the MK!

We were at WDW around this same time last year and out of 7 days it only rained for an hour on 1 day; we were at Downtown Disney. It was hot but that allowed some swim time for our 8 yr old DS.

We're going Sept 30 thru Oct 6 this year and we'll take the ponchos but hopefully we won't need them ( much). Have a great trip!!!

Historical data shows a high of 89/93 and a low in the mid 70's. Hope that helps!!

We are going those EXACT same days!! I don't care how hot it is or how much it rains. I just hope there are no major hurricanes.

Will wish for the best!

Hey Bam! We literally went the same days as you will be in 09.

Expect it to be still quite hot, but it's well worth the trade off of having the lower crowds, free dining, food and wine, and MNSSHP.

We encoutered little to no rain the entire stay, but i'm sure this is not the norm. If I was you I'd go on the trip expecting some rain, and if it does not happen than that's an added bonus to your trip

I was at WDW Sept 27 - Oct 1 last year. Didn't rain a single day while we were there.

It got hot, but it wasn't unbearable sun-scorching summer hot. Bring a hat, keep a bottle of water handy and you'll be fine.
