If I were to select a member's wdwmagic name....and I then tapped on "ignore", what actually goes into effect after that?

Well...after posting my question I looked at this forum to see what others were discussing
.....There's a thread on IGNORING. What a coincidence
So....I learned a bit from that thread, therefore anyone reading my question above can just think..NEVER MIND
