Selected for Fastpass+?

You would think that I would understand these changes since I read these forums all the time. However, now that it's my turn to select ride times, I am unsure if I am doing it correctly. :/ My family is heading to Pop in 37 days. I have all my dining reservations picked, know which parks we are going to daily, etc. I go to My Disney Experience site and realize it's giving me the option of Fastpass+ reservations. So, I select some for my first day at the parks. I don't believe we are selected for MagicBands, don't know if I want them, but would like to know if they are an option. Are they still sending letters to guests for this option? If we don't get the bands, I assume we use our KTTW card and our fastpass+ selections are on there... Sorry if this is a repetitive thread. I didn't have time to re-read all the others!

Looks like we'll be there at the same time!

The way I understand it is that guests at certain hotels are now eligible for FP+. If you have not been selected to participate in magic band testing, your FP+ selections will be on your KTtW card. I spoke with a CM the other day who seemed to think there was a possibility of the MB system being up and running for all guests at certain resorts, beginning with the test resorts, of which POP is one. Take that for what it's worth.

Thanks! This makes sense! I don't know if I'll like the bands or not but I like getting these FP+ times, especially if we can get paper ones as well! Counting down....as I am sure you are. :)

I thought if you chose to use the new FP+ system, that you were not allowed to use the paper fast passes in the park. That you were then limited to the 3 FP for the day? It would be great if you could still use both....

I just went onto the site and now I can make my FP+ selection too (this wasn't the case a week ago when I last logged on the the mydisneyexperience website). I am also staying at PoP and never received anything about MagicBands in the mail or email. I'm super excited now to start making selections but I am so confused because I was never officially selected (which I had been waiting for).
