Woohoooo! Just got the go ahead from the family(my husband and our boys) to plan for May AND October! We have been going back and forth over the May trip since we added Kira Soze to the family last week but she seems like she has been here forever and we did not anticipate such a quick assimilation into the family based on her previous background. Anyway, as we were talking about changing to October and doing the MNSSHP(and my poor Stacy @KingdomKonsultants LOL), our youngest(17) says "Well why not plan two trips that way if Dad can't get out of work(if the refinery has an issue and vacations are canceled, as has happened before), some of us can go in May and some in October and if nothing happens then we all go on one trip and whoever wants to go back in October can go then" Out of the mouths of babes! LOL My husband was not quite sure about this money-wise but agreed that it could work with a little extra planning and then it dawned on us that next year begins his second retirement(his civil servant retirement which is separate from the military retirement he started collecting last year) benefits kicking in and said "Book it Dano!" to which I said "In that case, Poly in May, GF in October!", feeling it only appropriate to stay within the Hawaai-ish theme. LOL
My sister thinks it is insane but she has never been to Disney(not even DLR even though I used to invite her and I took all of her kids several times) but you only live once, it is not forever and the only thing more important than memories is more memories! Granted, we are older and our kids are older(I will be 47 next year and he will be 62 and our sons are 26 and 17) so we have a bit more leeway when it comes to planning and doing, plus we homeschool our younger son so we don't have to worry about missing school.
I cannot believe that all these years of not going to WDW and now we are booking two trips in one year! LOL Insanity at it's finest!! Bring on the madness!
