Security CMs

Howdy. Are there any WDW Security CMs frequenting this site? I'm moving back to Orlando and I am considering applying for a job as Security at WDW. I was just hoping to hear any opinions you have of the job, good or bad, and also any accounts of the general workday without, of course, giving away any Top Secret Disney Security info. :)
In addition, I was curious as to what constitutes adequate experience when applying for the job. I tried applying back in 95' but was told I was lacking in this area. Now after 4 years in the Military, 2 years Navy security, 2 years civilian security, and a year as a Bail Enforcement Agent, would Casting consider me for a position?
Pardon if this topic has already been discussed but I could not find much information even with the advanced search feature. Thank you for your time. Have a good day.

I would think that you were extremely qualified for a position as a Security CM. You said they told you were not qualified in 95?-Was that before the Navy? I would say unless you interview badly or have some type of bad mark on your service record you would at least get an interview.I am ex military myself Air Force(E-5) Staff SGT and when I had some buddies who were in California and knew some Marines that said that DL casting was always at their base looking for Military persons who were getting discharged to offer them Security roles at DL.

Another security question:

I have a friend who is a police officer. I guess I've been under a rock, but department patch trading is a HUGE thing. He is planning on sending me some patches to trade for Disney security ones.

First off, is this something that Disney security would do?
How would I go about doing this?

Thanks

Guest relations, or ask a security guard what to do.

For the Op, there are many different things to do at WDW, including Resort Gate security, backstage security, bag checks, and general walk-around. An average day would probally be a combo of walk-around and bag check, or just one of the others. I don't know exactly, as I'm not one, but that's probally close.
