Secret places

What is your favorite secret place at the entire Disneyland resort from both past and present? For me it was the waterfall caves over at the Disneyland Hotel before they were demoed. Now I would say the last row of tables on the lower level of the Hungry Bear restaurant.

It used to be the family bathroom near the CM door by the plaza gardens. Best air conditioned bathroom on property and great if you have a family with little ones. I could have taken a nap in there : )

But seriously, I would agree with both of your places. Big Thunder trail is nice later at night after crowds die down a bit. Really not a lot of secret places left per se.

Behind the Harbour Galley, several tables overlook the Rivers of America. It's nice and quiet (most of the time).

I was going to post the same, specifically the little trail that runs past the Harbour Galley along the ROA edge and into Critter Country. The other area I like is the alternate passage that runs through Grizzly Peak under the lift for the rafts. It's very scenic and rarely has many people passing through.

Not sure if this counts, but the "chicken exit" in the Haunted Mansion changing portrait hallway. I use it during Haunted Mansion Holiday, since I despise that version. So I'll go in with friends and endure the opening scenes, then duck out as soon as we exit the stretching room. It's pretty awesome. I mean, it's a plain corridor, but you can see behind some of the windows (the trees and lightning effect) and walk out of the crypt on the side of the queue like you own the place.

Haha... so let me get this straight -- you spend the time to wait in line, do the stretching room, and just dip out so you can wait by yourself while your friends spent the next 8 minutes on the ride? I'm definitely no lover of the holiday version, but heck, it's still a nice chill trip through the Mansion and even if you don't love the holiday stuff, there's enough bones (no pun intended) of the original ride around you to still enjoy it.

Love it there. I just watched the fireworks from this spot the other night and it was really nice and empty on one of the busiest nights I've ever seen. You can even catch the edge of the projects on the Fantasmic fountains during the show too. Trees obscure a few of the fireworks, but most were pretty visible!

That is my favorite bathroom in the park. I don't know about taking a nap there though.

I love that path! I have some great pictures from that area.

It isn't really very secret, but I like to sit on the old Motor Boat Cruise dock now that it is a no longer a smoking area. They have tables and it is shaded, which is a really important thing for me when it is sunny out.
