SeaWorld Orlando will follow Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando by raising its ticket prices Monday.
Before tax, a single-day adult admission will be $59.75 -- a nearly 11 percent increase over the current price of $53.95. The park will offer a $6 discount to people who purchase tickets online at seaworld.com.
SeaWorld will continue to offer its Florida-resident Fun Card annual pass, though the price will rise to $64.95 for adults from $61.95.
Orlando's big parks usually raise their prices at about the same time. Disney and Universal announced price increases last month.
Spokesman Nick Gollattscheck said SeaWorld is raising prices because of higher operating costs and strong consumer demand -- and to bring its prices in line with the competition's.
"We run our own business plan, but part of that plan is to monitor what the pricing standards are for theme parks in Orlando," Gollattscheck said. Holding prices down would not attract significantly more visitors, he said.
