Season?

Hey, apparently there's a summer program now for food and custodial. So I was wondering, what are the pros and cons of doing Spring or Summer or Fall? Which season was your favorite and why? Is there a certain season or certain roles you would recommend not taking? Also, I've heard that you can do the CP right out of college. Can I do two CPs in a row out of college? Could I go the whole year doing Fall and Spring/Advantage the year after getting out of college? Thanks!

I would definitely do the longer CP (which I have). For one thing, you don't get many options with the new summer program. For another, if you do the Spring/Fall CP, if you like it then you can extend the CP. As for roles not taking, 2 just happen to be the only roles for summer. You can do that (about 2 in a row) and I believe it also applies for once out of college. Good luck.

I don't mean to echo everything the last poster said, but cons about the summer program is that you can't take any classes they offer (if you wanted to), and it's limited to those two roles if your not an alumni. But you wouldn't miss any school so that's a plus. Yes, if you do it the semester after you graduate, usually when you're down there they give you the option to extend your program, I knew someone that was there for a whole year.

Awesomeness! Thanks! I really don't have any plans for this summer and I don't know where I'm headed in terms of a career or life, so I was thinking I should maybe apply to work there this summer and see how I like it, and maybe do the regular CP after graduation (hopefully). Would you recommend not working there this summer? Because I'm really considering it if I applied and got in. I don't mind working with food or custodial work, but I'm just a little worried. I keep envisioning clogged toilets and getting chewed out by angry dads from New Jersey with strollers. I don't have a problem with mopping or sweeping or cleaning, but how nasty do the restrooms get? Thanks again for any info!

Sorry, I have another question! Is it reliable to do the e-presentation/apply online? Does it affect your chances of getting in? Thanks again!

It had better not, seeing as how there isn't a SINGLE presentation (For the CareerStart, at least) scheduled ANYWHERE here in Washington....or Oregan or Idaho, for that matter. It would be extremely unfair of them to be biased against people who couldn't possibly make it to a live presentation.

Nope. I did the online presentation for the Fall 2006 program. I did it because my audition was yesterday....and my school's presentation is on Wednesday! But seriously. People do it and get accepted. It'll be fine.
