Sea World/Busch Gardens tickets

Last time we visited these parks was in 2004. When I was planning the trip in 2003, I think I remember being told that tickets are only good for the year in which they were purchased, meaning that it was pointless to order them in 2003, because they would be no good for our trip in 2004.

Is this still the case now? Or can I buy a ticket now and have it be good for whenever I visit?

I've checked the site and the only tickets I can find which are "dated" are the Fun Cards - I'd send them an email just to confirm
