About time!!!
It's funny, I was looking at some of the earliest posts on this board from back in 2001, and one of the first ones was, "Anyone know how the construction is doing on mainstreet?". Some things never change.
I think we should classify what is happening to MSUSA as a 'restoration' and not a refurb. A refurb can be done relatively quickly. A restoration takes time. So if they had of given in to the pressure and settled for a refurb because of pressure form Ops or some other group we wouldn't be getting such amazing results.
It is about time people figure out that TWDC has turned the ship around from the misguided direction it was going and that ship is now gaining momentum.
Neither do they responses from some members.
When they do the work they complain about the scrims.
When they don't do they work they unleash Kevin Yee.
When they cut the detail and quality down for the sake of speed they complain about shoddy work.
When they take their time for quality sake they complain that the scrims are annoying, the place is declining as evidenced by the construction, the work isn't what it used to be and it is taking too long. And TDO is cheap anyway.
And my favorite, when it is all done no matter which school of thought they employ the response is always that this is what they should have done in the first place. And TDO is still cheap.
Obviously I do not have any capacity to suffer foolishness.
You took this in a totally different direction. My post in no way was meant to be a critisim of the post from 2001, just an observation on how cyclic some of the topics are.
Refurb, Restoration, whatever. The point is the scrims are coming down and Main Street is looking great. Great job on the work TDO. Yes, I just complimented TDO. They need a pat on the back every once in a while.
