Scooter Rental Question

Was it the Resort Lite? How was the battery life? Thinking of doing this for a family member. Need it to fit in the back of a trailblazer.

Yes. It came with two batteries, so about 12 hours. My dad never had to use the second one though. Also, they not only drop off and pick up at the resort, but they are the only vendor authorized to drop off and pick up with bell services and do not require the renter to be there during the process. No hassles whatsoever. We put it in the back of a Jeep Wrangler if that helps.

An average mobility scooter like the Pride Victory will get you 10 to 12 hours of use. If you are going to be out longer than that, it never hurts to plug it in for a quick charge while you eat.

Just remember, it's NOT the hours, it's the mileage that counts with the battery life. There's nothing worse than having to PUSH the scooter back to the resort after it runs out of juice. (had to do that with my dad's a few years ago). That's why I always take the cord with me to the parks and NEVER forget to plug it in every night. I bought a new ECV 2 years ago....I did my homework and bought a Golden...mine has 2 batteries and a 15-18 mile range between full charges. VERY important at Disney.

The offsite scooters MIGHT be a mile or two/hour faster, but the advantages are: you can take them back to your resort and they're MUCH more maneuverable that the park ones, lighter and not as "klunky"...kinda like comparing a decent auto to a AMC Pacer...

Yeah, unfortunately, AAA doesn't cover scooters...YET
