The news about the change has been out for a while. This article was written on the 16th of last month. Which leads me to believe that this is the real deal.

What's worse is when Polish viewers mentioned what the new name means in their language. Think of a disease that starts in a similar manner. Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer will know that Xander referred to getting the "Funny" kind of that disease.

I think the name change is stupid, personally, but I understand the decision to change it since they are straying from the original concept of the station. It is definitely no longer just Science Fiction. Kind of like when G4 switched formats when it merged with Tech TV or whatever that channel was. People kept complaining that it wasn't just Gaming shows and some still do. Oh, well.
