School's Out for Summer...

Tomorrow is the last day for students at my school. It also marks 118 days until my September WDW visit and 140 days until my October WDW visit w/my DGSs. So...I know I will be in full Disney Planning this summer...both for my upcoming vacations and my classroom. Since I will be staying in Villas (BWV & V@WL) for the first time, what items might be useful to bring with me (1st trip-just DH and I; 2nd trip-DH, DS, DIL, DGS8, DGS1, and myself)?

I'm so jealous! I have students until the 30!
This is the first time we've gotten out this early. We didn't have any breaks this year with the exception of Labor Day, exactly 2 weeks at Christmas, MLK Day, President's Day, and 1 week for Spring Break. The surrounding counties took a Fall and Winter Break, so they're not getting out for a bit over a week; they started a couple of days earlier. Next year, it changes...our county was asked to align the schedule with the other counties...so we get a bit of a Fall and Winter break...more Disney time!!!!

Loaded the last child in her car about 5 minutes ago:D ; 2 days of Post-Planning and then Disney Planning...
So, back to my original question...Since I will be staying in Villas (BWV & V@WL) for the first time, what items might be useful to bring with me (1st trip-just DH and I; 2nd trip-DH, DS, DIL, DGS8, DGS1, and myself)?;)

I took some Tide pods with me, not many in case I needed to do more then one load of laundry. Though every day housekeeping did leave me a small box of tide if I had used their box. Also I took my own tea because I was not sure if I could find the type of tea I like at WDW.

Are you staying on points or paying cash through disney for the villas? If you booked through disney without points then housekeeping should be the same as the other resorts. If you stay on points then you will get limited housekeeping depending on the length of stay (trash, towels, toiletries on day 4 if staying less than 8 days), so you may want to bring more laundry detergent, etc.

We'll be staying in a villa for the first time next month and are looking forward to the kitchenette. We plan to use it for quick meals for breakfast and maybe a few lunches.

I've never used Tide pods...do they work well?

We're staying on points, so I understand that we won't have daily mousekeeping. I do like the idea of being able to wash as we go. And, I agree that having some quick meals at the villa will help too.

Don't tell my kids - they are in school until the end of June:eek: Enjoy your vacation. Our first trip we rented a DVC 2 bed villa and loved it - I am now hooked on Disney. I loved that everything was there for you.
