Scavenger Hunt

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm planning a scavenger hunt with my family for our upcoming trip and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas to things we can find. Examples: pictures of/with something, bags from places, little items (under $5), and things you think could work in a scavenger hunt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As a matter of fact, there's a book available that gives you just what you're looking for:

http://www.amazon.com/PassPorters-T...1697618?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1174095786&sr=8-1

I haven't seen the book personally, but I've heard good things about it.

(And in the spirit of full disclosure, Jeff and Jenn Carter, who contributed to the book, are acquaintances of mine, but I give this suggestion independently) :)

A while back I read about someone on this board having a scavenger hunt - a big one. They had to visit as many resorts and parks as possible, and at each buy a postcard and have it initialed by a CM. They had a time limit (like 8 hrs).

For ideas:

How about getting photographs with two characters from the same movie? For example: Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother, or Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

Just have fun!

I have a friend who lives in Southern Cal, a few weeks ago he and some of his buddies had a picture scavenger hunt at DL. I haven't seen their full list or all the pictures but 3 of the things that they had to take pictures of are:
1. picture of a team member being kissed by a grandmother
2. picture of two team members having a sword fight
3. pictures of a team member with a princess in the same pose

I love this stuff!

Don't forget that in addition to some books which have scavenger hunt stuff in them, but MouseAdventure sells a scavenger hunt package that is trivia-based.

I love the photo ideas, though. How fun!!

We have booked three events with Jane at Gifts of a Lifetime. All three were scavenger type events. Some of the things we did involved pictures. She gave us a picture that was an extreme close up and we had to match the picture. It was a pic of one of the coats of arms found on the Fantasyland side of the castle. Other options included: pic of full group at a particular spot, and at Epcot, pic of my brother holding 13 pinatas (there are mini ones in Mexico). He also had to get his passport stamped at various locations in Epcot, his event was patterned after The Amazing Race. Of course there was a time limit. Scavenger hunts at Disney are awesome. We are considering a multi-day one for an upcoming trip.

Ah! Thank you so much for all of your suggestions. We're planning this as we speak and we have over 200 things to find. I used some things and am planning on buying that book (The PassPorters one).

Thanks again!

This is a pretty neat idea; I wish I would have thought of a scavenger hunt on my last trip. I think it would be neat to spend a day or part of a day meandering through the wide world of Disney coming up with some items of different locations. I think I might give this a shot in July!

A monorail co-pilots license.

DVC stickers (the people are always giving them to my kids).

A certain umber of character autographs (or maybe particular characters).

Have fun!
