Saw twitter post from a friend...Triceratops Encouter is OPEN!

Saw a handler walking a baby triceratops back into the gift shop Saturday, wondered if it had re-opened. Good news--IoA is going to need all the capacity it can get in a week.

This is great news. TE was one of the highlights for our FAMILY at IOA when we first visited. Put your mind in neutral and be with the dinos. One of them "sneezed" on my 10 year old daughter in 2000. We really missed the exhibit after it closed.

My biggest gripe about IOA has been the lack of family experiences. The park seems to really separate us by ages. HP was a big step forward in that area and I thought they never should have closed TE in the first place.

IOA really needs the capacity on busy days now. Good for them for re-opening a unique and fun experience.

Shoot, I was just at IOA today for the Harry Potter passholder event. Wish I'd seen this earlier, and I would have gotten there early to go on this.

I stumbled upon this on Thursday and thought it was delightful. My party, less inclined towards the "little experiences" also enjoyed the attraction. The new name, "Triceratops Discovery Trail" is a little misleading as the others expected more than just the short walk to the paddock.

Everybody was asked about doing a survey, all of us in my party gladly filled out the survey and indicated our enjoyment and hopes that the attraction remains open.

Awesome!
I remember seeing this many years ago, and while at the time it wasn't as over the top thrilling as most of their other attractions I definitely found myself missing it when it closed!

Glad to see that they understand the need for such an attraction.

Not only does IoA need capacity, they need capacity where the attraction doesn't shut down due to rain or lightening.

I agree with you there. A lot of the attractions close due to this. I could make a list right now, but Harry Potter can take in a lot of guests (of the right size) during the rain and thunderstorms.
