There is a podcast (DIS unplugged on the wdwinfo website dated 8/1 called "Disney World rumors") that claims that a costuming budget has been established for costumes for Comedy warehouse and Mannequins. They claim the source for the rumor is Dan Cockerell, VP of DHS. Coupled with the tweet above, this makes for some hope that some re-openings may be on the way for the remaining clubs at Pleasure Island. Also take note that the Congaloosh Society has scheduled Congaloosh 2012 to September 28 thru 30. To all who loved the AC: DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. This Isn't over YET.

I appreciate the nod to the podcast, but I need to correct a few statements here.

What was said is a costuming budget has been allocated for the reopening of Mannequins and Comedy Warehouse. The source for that information is NOT Dan Cockrell

What Dan was quoted as saying is that they are looking at a new venue for the CW Christmas shows as the small ABC Sound Studio did not offer enough seating for the production costs.

What I said was I most likely foresee CW shows happening again at DHS and perhaps a Mannequins Dance party type environment at DHS.

However, another source came forward, one with more direct knowledge and when pressed with "I heard 2 clubs are reopening" his answer was "yes." So, that gives me more hope. However, as of now there still has been no movement in MDP or the CW buildings.

My bad, I misunderstood. That's what I get for listening to podcasts before drinking my morning coffee. Thanks for the clarification!

no problem, sorry if I came across harsh, I just want to make it very clear for anyone else reading. It's a learning experience for me as these are the things I have to pay attention to when I'm relaying information on the podcast.

The two clubs reopening rumor has popped up a couple different places, seemingly independent of one another. I still don't understand using CW and Mannequins but not 8-Traxx, maybe something has been lost in translation. (8-Traxx could conceivably be run as an offshoot of Mannequins.) I've been told by a fairly plugged-in source to expect an announcement in October, i.e Fiscal 2013. I wouldn't expect much movement before then.

Calm before the storm?

Tide turning?

Pendulum?

None of the above.. EOY entertainment is looking to purpose the premiere theater at DHS for a repeat of the shows experimented with last year.. That's all.. to swallow more 'crowd' at a time..

No clubs reopening..

This seems to change day to day depending on who you listen to. I gave up awhile ago trying to figure out what they will do with DTD.

Somebody must have come up with something good for them to scrap HW. Wishful thinking.

Kungaloosh Adventurers,

Well, Disney rarely lets an openeing as close to perfect as this one out in the open. For "National Tell a Joke Day" the Disney Parks Blog has posted "Vintage Walt Disney World: Kidding Around at Downtown Disney" to remind the world about the Comedy Warehouse. Let us all go over there and remind Disney how we all want laughter and adventure returned to us at Pleasure Island!

I hope one day my gf and daughter get to experience both clubs. A lot of the adventurers watched me grow up since i was a kid. I live in Montreal Canada so for them to say to me on the last day i have watched you grow up all these years and actually remember me being on stage at the age of 12 at 1 in the morning is something the cast members and myself will never forget. :)

Not at all! Hope springs eternal in every true adventurer. Even if they tear the old AC down, that just signals that new construction is on the way for a bigger and better club.

When are they tearing the old building down? I was not aware of this.

Would love to see Adventurers Club reopened in Adventureland as a restaurant or at DAK replacing RainForestCafe.
