There is a podcast (DIS unplugged on the wdwinfo website dated 8/1 called "Disney World rumors") that claims that a costuming budget has been established for costumes for Comedy warehouse and Mannequins. They claim the source for the rumor is Dan Cockerell, VP of DHS. Coupled with the tweet above, this makes for some hope that some re-openings may be on the way for the remaining clubs at Pleasure Island. Also take note that the Congaloosh Society has scheduled Congaloosh 2012 to September 28 thru 30. To all who loved the AC: DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. This Isn't over YET.
I appreciate the nod to the podcast, but I need to correct a few statements here.
What was said is a costuming budget has been allocated for the reopening of Mannequins and Comedy Warehouse. The source for that information is NOT Dan Cockrell
What Dan was quoted as saying is that they are looking at a new venue for the CW Christmas shows as the small ABC Sound Studio did not offer enough seating for the production costs.
What I said was I most likely foresee CW shows happening again at DHS and perhaps a Mannequins Dance party type environment at DHS.
However, another source came forward, one with more direct knowledge and when pressed with "I heard 2 clubs are reopening" his answer was "yes." So, that gives me more hope. However, as of now there still has been no movement in MDP or the CW buildings.
