I wouldn't pick it based on the views because both have great and a few not so great. What room type are you booking and how old are those going with you? Also do you need a ton of variety at QS locations? Lastly if you love drums, pick Kidani ;)

At Jambo House, all DVC rooms are on either the 5th floor or 6th floor (concierge level).
At Kidani Village, the rooms are on the 2nd - 5th floors.

Lower floors would give you a better view closer to the building, while higher floors would give you a broader view of the whole savanna.

It will be a studio. My mom (better leave her age out ;)), DD9, and DS3 will be going with me. I've stayed at Kidani before and enjoyed it. My mom hasn't been to Disney since she took me and my sister as a kid so I just want to make sure to pick the one I think she'd like best. I'm probably just thinking about it too much and either will be good.

Maybe think about whether your Mom would prefer the wow factor of the AKL lobby, plus having a lot of the activities going on there, or the quieter, more homely feel of Kidani.

I loved Kidani, but DS did say he preferred the feel of AKL. I kinda see where he’s coming from with that, but the 1 bed at Kidani has that extra bathroom too! And I prefer the pool at Kidani. I do want to try Jambo though.

The pool is the main thing that's holding me back from Jambo. I'm hoping maybe it will improve after the refurbishment. The lobby is the main reason I want to stay at Jambo.

Since you've done Kidani before, why not go new? You can always visit Kidani pool if the kids prefer it :)

While some Savannah room views might be a hair better than others, both resorts have designated viewing areas that are awesome.

Heck the walk from main lobby to The Mara in itself (although no animals) is an amazing landscaped walk that just gets me every time

Also, both resorts have that shuttle to take you back and forth to see all at both places!

Have fun!

Jambos pool is pretty good. It's massive and when swimming there at night it just has an amazing vibe, plus no parking lot to walk across to get to it like Jambo...but Kidani's pool is pretty cool too. You can visit either regardless of which side your on.
