Funny stuff that satire can be! It's only funny because there is some truth to it! :lookaroun

In any event, Bob Smigel certainly has something against the Disney company...and many of us are glad he does!

I have purposely stayed out of this thread, but I am sure that a uber-sensitive Disneycentric person was offended by a satirical skit. But hey, according to some of the hate email I get, I should not be allowed another breathe due to my thoughs that WDW is not all powerful. I refuse to pray to the mouse. I just thank god that cartoon characters can not ask for royalties.

It's actually a scene from Fantasia that was removed when it was released on DVD because it was felt that it was racially insensitive. Here's an article that someone wrote to rant about the changes and describes them in more detail. Please note that I have not read the entire article, so proceed with caution. You never know how someone upset about changes to movies will react.

'Journey to the Disney Vault' was, easily, the best Saturday TV Funhouse skit in quite a while.

My favorite sketch of the evening was the last, however, featuring Will Forte, Lindsay Lohan, and Kristen Wiig -

"And then, we'll take off our Native-American headdresses,"

I was dying!

Finally had the time to watch the whole thing. Priceless! I was surprised how esoteric some of the references were, and knowing what all of them meant was a real treat.

Definately an all-time SNL classic.

That surprised me, too. You have to be a huge Disney fan to get a lot of those references. I was alternating between hysterical laughter and wondering how many ways Disney was going to try to sue them.

Why does everyone keep saying things like "wow, i bet Disney is going to sue them"? If you're not from the U.S., i can understand, but for my fellow Americans on here, i would have thought that you knew how the first amendment and parody laws work.

But anyway, I loved the Lawyer version of Scar. And also, LUE found this sketch awesome. It seems the best skits that come from SNL are now having something to do with Disney.

As in the Chronic-als of Narnia rap video.
