Same way as with the other machines, there is a reader where you place the cup. Universal Studios have used same tech for years.
But does it limit you every 3 minutes?

Snarky answer might be: We can tell it's not an employee break room, because it's too barren even for Cast Members.are we sure this isn't an employee break room?
At the very least before was "vaguely New Orleans", this is just "mall Chipotle".I'm not sure if everyone got that the decor before was based on the Mardi Gras floats but the new look looks more like a high school cafeteria from the pic posted here. I haven't seen it in person myself.
I just got back from short trip to WDW and had to kill time between resorts, so dropped by for a snack. The ambiance is lacking, as I thought, but there are signs that Disney is trying to improve on the renovation. While consuming my nummy bread pudding with vanilla gelato, I spied three suits checking out a trash & return station. They're using real serving dishes now, not paper. On my way out I broke into their confab and had a chat about the lack of soul. Suggested they repaint the overhead beams to gold, to warm the place up a bit. They pointed out the new bead chandeliers, which are a colorful improvement. So, even Disney realizes they might have over-blanded the place.View attachment 176447
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in Port Orleans Resort French Quarter has been recently renovated, however the theming aspect previously present has been, in my opinion, removed. However, this is only one man's opinion. What do you think about this rennovation?
It doesn't have any vending machines. At least not yet!!are we sure this isn't an employee break room?
