Saratoga Springs

OK, I know we've seen this thread before but I decided to make another one. My family has reservations for July 5-10 at Saratoga Springs. We have a 2-bedroom villa. We know about what the theme of Saratoga is, but not much else. Can someone please clue me in about any details you might know about the resort? What is the pool going to be like, Where can you see the fireworks, how much will be open in July? These types of questions. Any info is greatly appreciated!

This resort is going to be a very laid back relaxing place. There won't be a lot of rushing and action like there is at some of the other resorts. The resort it very big so plan on driving around when you want to go to the main building. I also saw some concept art for the pool and it looks like it will have some waterfalls and a slide. Some mountain formations might be a part of it. I don't think it will be anything extravagant like the Polynesian or Yacht and Beach Club.

As far as I know building 1 opens May 17 and building 2 June 6 and then building 3 in July unsure of date and building 4 in Aug. I own DVC at SSR and will be staying there in Sept. I would ask some more questions after May so people have stayed there already.
It's coming along great and things are on schedule. I hope this helps.

I am going to WDW on May 17th and plan to visit SSR (i'm not staying there). I'm going to take a lot of pics, and I want to get an opening day pin if they have them. I can't wait!! -Stephanie

I think the pool is more interesting then Poly but that is just my personal opinion.

Isn't Saratoga Springs a reworking of the Disney Inst.? Also, wasn't it also the p,lace that had the Tree House Villas? It looks like it is in the same place as the two I just mentioned on the Resort map. Is it? And what happened to the Disney Inst.?

I enclose it to give you perspective of where the resort is located. If you are familiar with Downtown Disney, you can see the photo was snapped just outside the Lego store, and the Fulton's paddleboat restaurant is visible in the left corner of the photo. Directly across the lake is the Saratoga Springs main building.

Looking across the lake from Saratoga Springs, you will see all the spotlights that shine nightly on Pleasure Island and the West Side. That should be interesting.
