Just booked a treehouse villa! A little concerned b/c of how far out it is from our fave park MK. Also worried b/c you have to walk or water taxi to your car and buses. Anyone out there with experience????

You can park your car in a spot near the treehouse where you're staying. And there are internal busses that will take you to the main SSR bus "depot" that can get you to the parks. The water taxi is for Downtown Disney.

Thanks. Hate the thought of bus transfers before we even get to the parks, but I'm sure there are so many positives. No worries.

we stayed there last Jan (2012) and LOVED IT! we parked right at the treehouse, had a water view and saw the boats go by....the internal bus stop was right next to our treehouse, and we NEVER waited more than 5 mins...and we were ALWAYS THE ONLY ONES ON IT! the ONLY hassle we had was once we got off the internal bus at SSR to catch the bus to the parks, there might have been a 15 min wait...there are several bus stops within the SSR resort, you definitely have to take the boat to DTD! it is awesome!~ very relaxing! this by far is our favorite so far....

also loved having the patio, full kitchen and washer/dryers! can't beat it!

We may not get to stay there now. My brother in law can't afford half. We can't afford it on our own. Trying to see if my parents will stay there with us, but they both want to stay at a monorail resort.

we stayed there about a year and a half ago and didn't have any problem. mk is also our favorite resort. if you have a car you park right at the treehouse. i actually feel like staying at the allstar resorts and akl area resorts are the farthest from mk. treehouse villas didn't seem any further than say por/pofq.

How many do these sleep comfortably? Is there a room layout on the web anywhere?
I'm interested in these for a larger family trip but wondered how many I should be asking to go.

We have actually switched to the Contemporary Garden Wing Deluxe, however in our research I found layouts.
