Does anybody have information about Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa because I live next to Saratoga and I would like to know more about the Disney version?

look up DVC on the web. The latest club house news has info on it. You could also have DVC send you some info on it, but then they would be calling you and bugging you about joining.

It sounds like a nice resort.

Freak, you're so bad! I will apologize for his actions seeing as how I am his caregiver. He's on medication for his outbursts of bad puns and the doctors are looking into shock therapy...

I'm a pun collector not a pun trader...I only collect the puns that I really like...

(Oh, and Sparky...they already DID shock therapy...remember the hairdo!?!?!?)

From Screamscape.com

Here's the official unofficial info:

One of our readers who was looking into the newest DVC resort sent in a few pieces of concept artwork and tells us that sales for the new resort are expected to start sometime in Spring 2003. They were also told that if work continues at the current pace, it may open a little earlier than the “Spring 2004” date previously given. They also pointed out that the pool artwork below shows a waterslide built into the rocky hillside. I know the photo below is small, but trust me, it is there. The previous release claimed that they would not have a waterslide.

Disney has given a name and theme to the new DVC Resort that is being formed out of the former Disney Institute. The resort will open Spring 2004 with 184 new rooms, a theme pool, playground and BBQ Pavilion and is being designed by Graham Gund (Disney’s Vero Beach Resort). The pool will attempt to look like a natural spring with bubbles floating up instead of having waterslides.

Picture of the pool area... I think there is a slide in the rocky area in the distance. Closer up are some Springs.

Is that really a good thing? I mean don't you want to feel like you've gone someplace more exotic than "home" when you're on vacation?

I would love to buy into the DVC when Saratoga Springs becomes available. The Disney Institute was my "home-away from home" for 11 years before they closed.

I know it will be beautiful as Saratoga Springs though. I trust Disney in their authentisity of making their version as close to the real thing as possible.:sohappy:
