Saratoga Springs: Congress Park or the Springs

What are the pros/cons of staying in the Congress Park versus the Springs sections of Saratoga Springs?

We can request a room in either area. Items for consideration:
- We will be tied to Disney transportation to get to/from the parks
- We plan to visit Downtown Disney multiple times
- We're in shape and don't mind walking a bit
- Our kids love waterslides
- A nice view is preferable

I like the Springs. Close to the HH, boat trans to DS and the main pool. I prefer to use the boat transportation to DS because it docks in the middle of DS. If you choose to walk to DS you have a long walk from one end of DS to the other. You walk enough when you are at WDW as it is.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know that there was a launch from Saratoga Springs! I've only ever traveled on a boat to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans.

Presuming you're booked in a Preferred villa which would only be Congress or Springs, I'd say Congress Park. Very convenient to Marketplace, has its own quiet pool, not far from main pool.

If you need to get to the West Side, the Marketplace boat dock is close by.
