Haha yea I've noticed a lot of my nonlatino friends at university making that mistake when texting about Encanto.
Haha yea much like how Disney combined Chinese culture and design principles into making Hong Kong (and really more so) Shanghai it would make sense to do the same at other international resorts to avoid the misfire that was Euro Disneyland's opening and disconnects with the French.
Don't worry as a whole I feel like a lot of history focuses on whatever country you're in (and in some states like Texas their state's history too). In my classes in highschool there was very little focus in many classes that were meant to discuss the world rather it be Art History, World History, or Geopolitics a lot of focus was placed on the English speaking world and Southern/Western Europe . Which is a shame as learning about cultures, art, and history around the world is always fascinating but there's only so much time in a school year! I learn about history a lot from YouTube videos from a variety of channels, big fan.
