Sanaa...what a disappointment

I mean no disrespect, but if the only issue you have, is waiting 20 mins after your ADR time, yet the bar was enjoyable, the food was great.... I don't understand. If you feel, the CM's attitude was less than favorable, by all means, speak to a Manager. I would have definately asked for a table by the windows, if so many tables were available, and if they said no, right then and there I would have asked to speak to a Manager. The best way to handle a less than favorable dining experience at Disney, IMHO, is to deal with it at that time. I am glad you enjoyed your meal though. However, not knowing the staffing problems that particular night, and it was, what 20 mins? I would have tried to cut them some slack, the attitude... NO

Regardless of any legitimate business reason for low staff you should have been able to have been seated in a near empty restaurant if you so chose. That does not take much manpower. Although sitting at the bar to wait would probably be better anyway. We loved it there although it did take a little longer than it should have to seat us in a near empty place and we did not receive or was a window seat offered although there were plenty and they did not fill up ever during our two hour dinner. Service fine, meal better. The eating space was very nice. Overall, high marks except for the seating strangeness.

Sorry you were disappointed. If my memory serves me right,we also had to wait around 30 mins after our ADR time, but to be honest,we were enjoying the whole buzz and ambience of the place,it didn't bother us one bit.But the meal was out of this world. For this kinda gastronomic adventure,I would wait another 30 minutes.;)

I agree, Hatter! We were a party of 9 and had to wait, but I really enjoyed just checking everything out. We got to use the night vision goggles and check out the animals. I definitely wouldn't mind waiting 30 minutes to be seated for Sanaa.

Our first (and so far only) experience at Sanaa back in November was generally positive.

Food-wise it was the best food we had all week (Brown Derby was a close second), but the server we had was in last-place compared to our other Table Service. He wasn't *bad*, but rather a bit lackluster compared to all the others. (Our best servers that week were Brown Derby and Be Our Guest)

And actually while having a drink at Outer Rim later that week with a friend that lives locally, we got to chatting with the bartender, and he said he'd also had a lackluster server when he brought his girlfriend to Sanaa.
