Oh wow! Amazing news! That's like, a big thing! :hammer:

Someone didn't read the other posts.

No, I'm not trying to be mean. I just feel insulted that people don't use the search function. Or even read anything on the website. Next time, please search before you post. :)

No hard feelings. Eh?

I've been a member on this Board for several years.
I seldom use the Search function nor do I read ALL the posts.

I tend to read the Posts that I am interested in at that particular time and on that particular day.

I apologize if that offends you, however, having said that I believe there are many members on this board who, like myself. don't always have time to do a Search and/or read every post on this board.

I thought your comment was rude, hurtful, and unnecessary.
Next time, please, think before you post.

No hard feelings eh?

Don't have "time" to use the search function? How long does it take?

This "NEWS" was reported and discussed at length months ago. I feel your pain Mortimer.

sheesh...so before we create any topic we should do a search to see if it was discuss here...I think you could have been a bit nicer...perhaps providing a link to the discussed topics...ditto on what scooter said.

Put me down for some of that, too! I, for one, didn't hear about the new streets at the studios. I appreciate the info.

One thing for sure about the Internet, you get almost zero courtesy no matter what you do. I've come to the conclusion that no matter what forum you post in and no matter how nice someone asks a question, someone has to tell them to "RTFM!!" or "Use the search button NOOB!".

In the time and effort it took to make someone feel stupid, you could have written something constructive and also answered his question at the same time.

I just find it Ironic that this thread has little to do with the original post or topic. Even if you searched and a thread comes up such as this one, it now has very little value or content because it has been ruined by needless posting and unnecessary rudeness. Leave the corrections and posting rule enforcements to the moderators and the PM's.

Just because a topic has been discussed a few times prior does not mean that a new thread may not catch some new eyes or spark some new direction on discussing that topic. Heck, if nothing else, this topic is telling those who do know about the upcoming streets that Cast members are letting everyone know now.

Perhaps a more curious result of this threads events is the question... If you already knew about this then why bother reading or posting, leave it for those who have yet to read or post on this topic? Granted... if it was like the hundreth time this topic was brought up this week then maybe we are being way too careless, but this topic is not that common from what I have seen.

OK, the ol' spider is finished and guys I am not picking or protecting anyone in particular, but just look at the original topic of the thread and then the posts thereafter... that's all. No finger pointing, not trying to rub people the wrong way, not trying to start a fight, just trying to point out the obvious so we can step back and look at this in a friendly tone and a less harsh environment and just have fun with discussing Disney.

Hear hear! :sohappy:

Now...Scooter...thanks for the info!

Here's a question for you...did you notice any construction going on?

:) I went this past Friday and saw/heard the same thing on the Backlot tour. When wandering around NY I saw a few signs indicating that construction had indeed begun. It may or may not have been for SFrancisco and Chicago...

Sorry! No pictures. They would've been impossible anyway because of the impenetrable barriers. They ran all the way up one side of the street, including alleyways.

San Fran is being done over by the old Backlot theater

Chicago is being done across the street (That whole section between the Writers Stop and the intersection to the theater).

I wonder if they'll change the name to Backlot Street or American Blvd (Theyllchange it, it'd be stupid not to).

One of my favorite aspects of Universal where the themed streets to actual real places thast I had never been. I enjoy Hollywood Blvd. and def NY Street, and am very glad that MGM is getting more facades and buildings to depict different areas. I jsut find it neat!

Why do people feel the NEED to chastize or show someone they are wrong if they psoted info that is already known by others?

Maybe some people on this board are just hearing about WDWMagic for the 1st time and are excited to post. Maybe they didn't know that everyone else knew.

Cut people a break. If you already know what someone is posting- WHY RESPOND in the first place? Let it die.

If you are so concerned with people not using the Search button, making snide remarks at them and making them feel like they did something wrong is not the way to go.

Ignore the post or say, Yes, it has been talked about already. This way new people or anyone else will eventually "assimiliate".

I'm on the boards all the time, and I NEVER search to see if people know about something I found out. Maybe it was posted so long ago that NEW members would not be aware of it?!?!?!

But ripping people is not the way to go

Who Cares!!!! If you start reading the tread and realize it's a repeat, then MOVE ON. Don't waste your time or our time with pointless posts. The person with the repeat thread will realize when there is no response that maybe the topic might have been discussed. The answer is: MOVE ON!

OK, I went against my rule, but I just thought that I'd pass along what I follow. It really does work, and it doesn't make me so UP TIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
