When we went to WDW in November, I was so happy to see so much salmon on the menu at both QS and TS places. I have to eat a very high protein (but on the smallish side) meal, and love salmon and fish options. I'm going again this May with my dh and was wondering what your favorite QS places or food items are that have salmon or another fish? I really enjoyed the salmon at The Land and of course I love the fish & chips at both Rose&Crown and the QS fish shop outside. Would love to find some other options I may not have tried or seen before.

A couple of my favorite locations for salmon
  • Epcot's Biergarten restaurant in Germany has Salmon with Lemon Dill Cream Sauce.
  • Magic Kingdom's Crystal Palace restaurant has Ancho Chili Rubbed Salmon.
  • Wilderness Lodge Resort's Artist Point Restaurant is well known for it's Cedar Plank Roasted King Salmon
  • Columbia Harbor House in MK has fried fish, salmon and tuna sandwiches. My favorite QS restaurant.
There are many other locations that serve salmon. Very few QS locations.

For QS options:

In Magic Kingdom, Columbia Harbor House has some great fish options. The grilled salmon with couscous is probably the healthiest option, but they have some really delicious choices there. The Be Our Guest lunch menu includes a seared ahi tuna salad (but make sure you get reservations for this location months in advance - even though it's QS it is in high demand).

Hollywood Studios has the ABC Commissary, with an asian salad with salmon and a grilled salmon entree.

In Epcot, the Liberty Inn has Louisiana shrimp & rice (not sure if shrimp would work for you, but it's delicious!). Sunshine Seasons also has grilled salmon and fish tacos. Also, the bakery in Norway has a smoked salmon & egg sandwich. Japan also has sushi available with fish, if you enjoy sushi, as well as teriyaki salmon.

Now I'm in the mood for some seafood! :)

Oh wow! So I may have to look into Artist Point as that has never crossed my path. The teriyaki salmon sounds delicious! Do they deliver to Virginia?!? I may have to try the Liberty Inn too, as shrimp definitely is a great alternative to salmon. I ate a lot of salmon at Disney in November, and it would be great to add a bit of variety in there. Thanks for the ideas!

The ABC Commissary serves a salad with salmon fillet on it, it is rather tasty and was a surprise as I wasn't a big fan of ABC the last time I was there.

I had
Seared Salmon Filet - with Quinoa, salsa verde and crisp vegetable slaw at The Coral Cafe....it was excellent. My granddaughter who was 20 months at the time also had salmon....Grilled Fish of the Day - with Jasmine Rice, Steamed Green Beans, Lemon-Butter Sauce, and Fruit Salad. She absolutely loved it. :cat:

I'm going to have to look up what monk fish is. Also, I'm staying at the Hilton BV next week and will have to pop over to wolfgang puck's to try out some of their items. I'm usually a huge Earl of Sandwich person, but have never tried Wolfgang's. Good time to start! Thanks everyone for the responses! I've made my own little cheat sheet on my phone of these places.

Boma typically has salmon on the buffet, as well. Preparation changes daily, but the best is a sweet crust of pistachio and raisins.

Tokyo Dining has a grilled Salmon fillet with a teriyaki sauce that is pretty good. It's not the best I've had on property though. The best I've had on property is at Boma, for sure.

i know it is within a buffet, but the salmon at the tusker house lunch was AMAZING. It was peri-peri marinated, which was spicy and citrus-sy . DELISIOUS!!

You say you are going in May, but you don't say what part of May.

The Copper River Salmon season starts in Mid May. Copper River Salmon is wild caught Salmon from the Copper River in Alaska. It is an extremely limited season (think on the order of days) and fish are only available in markets until mid/late June usually.

Artist Point is one of the few restaurants on the East coast that has a consistent source of Copper River Salmon during the season. When they have it in, they replace their normal cedar planked salmon (farmed salmon) with the Copper River (and charge more).

If you like salmon, and are in WDW during the time AP has Copper River Salmon on the menu, then in a word, go. Or in two words, go - eat.

It is not quite as awesome or rare (or expensive) as finding real Dover Sole on the menu in a restaurant (It took V&A to do that at WDW) but it is still pretty awesome if you happen to be there when it is on the menu.

I'm going May 14 - 19th. So this past trip I took last week, I found another place to get Salmon.. It's only on the kid's meal though. I found Salmon bites at 50's Prime Time and it was delicious! Topped it off with a kid's size pb&j milkshake. It was the perfect amount of Salmon for me. Thanks for the education on Salmon @ WDW, @Phonedave !
