Safaris change?

I personally have no problem with the story line. Yes, it does become a bit old for those of us on these boards that visit WDW all the time but for others it's fresh and new.

I also like the fact that Disney took the opportunity to not only tell a story but a story with actual meaning and relevance.

I dont wish to pre judge, but surely if Disney is serious about the conservation issue, the dangers posed by poaching should not be Disneyfied.

While I understand WDW is escapist fantasy, I think I would have rather seen the poacher element removed than wrapping everything in cotton wool.

I slightly agree with you but if you can get youth to even start asking questions about it, isn't that OK?

At least they are trying to make the youth aware of poaching so maybe it will die out! I guess disney is just trying to do their bit!

Unfortunately Poaching will not go away, its more of an economical problem than anything else...you have to tackle poverty first before being able to tackle poaching in an effective manner.

Thats as may be, but to be fair it is a thread that discusses changes to how poaching is portrayed by WDW.

And you could be a little less severe with the rebuke.

What does poaching have to do with his "you need to stop poverty"? Even if that was the case, and it isn't, what does that have to do with the script changes?

Oh I think you are smart enough to work that out for yourself, but that would negate the chance to be antagonistic, wouldn't it?

As for the new script, I'll hold my judgement until I visit the ride. Walt did say that Disneyland (and therefore other parks) should never be a museum. Change is welcomed. :)
