Sad - Le Cellier...:(

Add me to the list of those not absolutely knocked out by Le Cellier.

I think most folks that say Le Cellier is overrated aren't saying the restaurant doesn't offer a good meal, but I don't think any restaurant on property could live up to the overwhelmingly extreme amount of gushing it receives on the boards.

So many people seem to treat Le Cellier as the end-all, be-all of theme park dining and that a trip is somehow diminished by not having a meal there.

For myself, I just can't find that much enthusiasm for Le Cellier. The atmosphere is pleasant, though bland, the food is well prepared, though basic, and the servers are friendly, though rushed and overworked.

I'm going one step farther....

LeCelier COULD be a great restaurant... but it has become a CATTLE CAR. Overcrowded, and no longer worth the effort - we go to Bistro de Paris now, instead.

This could be fixed. LeCelier needs to start charging two points on the DDP, consitant with the quality of their offerings - bingo, problem solved.

I hate to see a quality food establishment drown it's workers in masses of people instead of upping it's price & maintaining a quality operation. This isn't WallMart.

I don't think that the food at Le Cellier merits two credits. Two credits put it in the same venue as the other Signature locations, which it is not.

It is more in the range(food wise) of 1.5 credits. So if you are 'spending' 1 credit it is a bargin (if you can overlook the 20 people jammed in a phonebooth atmosphere). going up to 2 credits would definately 'thin the herd' but they would have to tick the food / plating / service up a notch to cover that.

I personaly would love to see it go to two credits because I don't do the DPP, so as long as they kept the pricing the same, it would mean I could get a reservation.

As I said, you get value for what you pay, but that's not why it's crowded and hard to get. It's a very small restaurant that serves good food [worthy of one credit, not two] and is inside a park. Every other "great" or "better" steak mentioned is outside the parks and therefore easier to get into.

My family and I love Le Cellier. It's always a must for us. I have had better steaks and been to top notch restaurants, but it's still a wonderful meal that I really enjoy. And hearing everyone talk about not getting in confuses me a little. We've always been able to get a reservation without any problems...even during peak weeks. Guess we just have good luck...

I agree Nicole! Even though there's better out there, Le Cellier has been one of our favorites. No gushing - just always enjoyed it and when the woman told me on the phone they're booked into October...I was fairly shocked. We've NEVER had a problem getting a reservation. BUT....

My mom was tenacious and kept calling until one day - boom! - reservation for 6 opened up on Saturday afternoon. YAY!!! :animwink: Color me happy!
