I spent some time alone in WDW and I really liked it. it was kinda fun to just do whatever I wanted. Of course, i'm an only child, so maybe I'm more used to being by myself.

I have never experienced Disney alone yet but have had other people w/ me that don't share the same excitment as I. Which does kinda sap some of the magic experience...Kinda of a thread drift but I think there shouldbe a Disney Dating service or matchmaker kinda thing for the single people out there who want to share the experience w/ someone and meet someone at the same time. Oh well, anyway.....

LMAO.. I think that idea has been played around with lightly but... it never worked lol. If you want though you can search through Chit Chat.. there is a thread entitled "why you should only date someone who likes disney" LOL.. written by me and a friend when we were dating our ex boyfriends. You might enjoy it...

All you need is one lil spark.

Memories, you’re talking about memories.

Hey, I hope I never go alone to Disney or Epcot.

If I do, I hope all of you can with me!

:)

Okay, I haven't read the rest of the thread yet but I just wanted to get this out now.

I too have experienced Disney (well, Animal Kingdom) alone and have to say I really enjoyed it. I know where you are coming from with the people with you missing, I felt that too, but I also got a chance to do a lot more people watching then I normally get to because I am typically too wrapped up in get MY memories then watching others get their own. I really enjoyed doing Disney alone and have no qualms with doing it again.

I was at WDW by myself in April, during a technical conference at the Coronado Springs Resort. I had some fun, but I definitely felt like something was missing. I enjoyed not being slowed down by my wife and son's slower pace, but there was nobody to share the experiences with. Some of the best times that I had were when I was able to chat with other guests. A family from Long Island at Tempura Kiku, a British woman waiting with her family before Illuminations, and a woman from Portland, OR, who was having a park day with her daughter while her husband and son stayed at the hotel stand out particularly. It was nice, but still not nearly as fun as going with family.

I have to dissagree I think that the more people you have the greater the memories. You can't make yourself laugh out loud. You can't make yourself look at something that you didn't notice or see the smile on someone face because they enjoyed something more then you did. To me like the gentleman who started this thread. I belive that shareing is a part of the disney experience.
While on my last trip a little less then a year ago I met a Vietnam vet in a wheel chair who was there on his own told his family not to come cause he felt he could see more without them. We spoke for about a half hour he my friend and myself. To me this was part of what the experience was all about. SHare your experiences with others and although he rather enjoyed his moments alone he also enjoyed the company of people who love WDW as much as he did.

I think that's a great idea. Although I am not sure all the details, something like that would be great for us single folk looking for other Disney fans to date! :sohappy:
