Since It's a popular question, figured I'd create a single central point to track. I'll edit post sell out dates as I can dig them up, please feel free to post below if you notice sell outs. Some of the dates on here are when the sell out was first noticed/reported on WDWMagic. It may have actually sold out prior. I'm not currently breaking down kids races into length, or including Pasta Party or Cheer Squad type things.

Please Note: The Registration Dates listed are the general on sale dates. For the last few years, AP and DVC members were able to early register 1 week before the general public. Limited slots were made available for this, so if an event sold out in pre-reg, slots would still be available to the general public. Also note that some years runDisney offered very early registration at Expos, both for runDisney events, and occasionally others.

And this what I'm actually hoping to help prove/disprove. For a year or so, that was definitely the case. But the last few events seem to reverting back to how it used to be, where you could register weeks or months after it opened. There are definitely exclusions to the rule, but I hope this thread will help to show the trend whichever way it is going.

@dreamfinder.. Early registration for 2017 Dark Side races have been open for over 30 minutes. No wait time, no races are on hold and the Challenge isn't sold out yet for early registration. I'm a tad surprised, thought at least the Challenge would be on hold by now. Guess I've got the Half and 10K all to myself next year. Just kidding.....I hope not.

You might be proving your theory that race registrations are reverting back to how they used to be.
