Rumor: Paint The Night Parade Might Come Back

Yeah, post backstage pics that could be traced back to you and endanger your job or ELSE.

We know DLR is storing PTN. Makes perfect sense that it would be regularly tested by techs to ensure the floats are still in working order. This isn't some bombshell revelation.

How do they fit in the costumes or is there spandex involved?

I don’t know if it’s a hint for PTN or MSEP but in Disneys article for the 100th they said there will be pop up experiences at DLR including Magic Happens. Would be awesome but that would mean MH couldn’t run at night which IMO was the best with the onboard lighting and parade route lighting. DCA would be best for PTN but with the new WoC that might be a crowd control issue?

This was posted before. Of course this doesn’t tell us much. Just because one float is alive doesn’t mean they all are.

This is one of the many reasons I avoid these Disney vloggers/bloggers/whatevers. They post stuff like this knowing full well these floats would be in storage. Gotta get dem clicks!

I agree and not very smart of them especially if their a CM, which I’d assume this probably was to be that close.

Was an official reason given for why Disney removed To Honor America from the parade or are we to just assume the obvious?

I mean the finale changes made perfect sense for 2022 Disney- gets rid of the Americana component, allows them to add more IP, and cuts down on the number of performers saving them money.

It's like the new turf... they can advertise how it's 'eco friendly', while simultaneously building a splash pad in Toontown... but hey now gardening costs are cheaper!

When I think abandoned treehouses full of junk, I think Wall*E.

Right now, offsite, Disney is compacting and saving loads of garbage from their parks. When the Eastern Gateway is finished, the new DCA expansion will be Wall-E Land with authentic stacks of garbage piled high. This will make many happy as the garbage pile will block out the sight of the Mission Breakout ride.

I heard the garbage will mostly be comprised of unsold Lightyear merchandise.

Recently saw a video of PTN and forgot how solid this parade was. I’ve only seen it once in person during the 60th and then a few times in passing here and there. I was a little hard on it at first as it had big MSEP shoes to fill. The soundtrack was where it fell short for me as MSEPs intro and Barouque Hoedown are the quintessential Disneyland night parade and so iconic.

Visually this parade really pops. I don’t remember feeling that so much in person but on video those girls that start the parade with those color changing whips (or whatever they are) is pretty mesmerizing. The Tinkerbell on a stick that moves up down is very cool too.

I think it helps that I’ve started to warm up to more modern sounding parade soundtracks on Main Street/Disneyland. The Magic Happens soundtrack is great and the PTN/ Owl City soundtrack has grown on me. I also feel that MSEP lost some of it’s luster when they changed its intro and the finale for the 50th which for me in a way made the parade mortal and evened the playing field with other parades.

Rain is currently forecasted for next week. Rain currently predicted to happen between the 23rd-25th. Chances of rain sit at 50%-60% so Magic Happens might end up happening on Sunday the 26th instead which is showing to be just partly cloudy that day. Information from The Weather Channel
