RUMOR: goodbye Tables in Wonderland

Saw this and wanted confirmation, so we stopped by EPCOT Guest Relations today, and asked about this. Was told by two CMs that, after checking somewhere in the back, no extension for the card was granted beyond the four months they gave everyone because of the parks' closing. So our TiW card expires end of December (four months from the August expiration on the card). The GR CM said she hoped that they would start selling the cards again soon, as they have experienced a significant number of people asking about it.

We've had the TIW card for years. We always got our money's worth out of it even with the rising costs in the TS places. (My husband likes nice wine & thought nothing of picking out a $100+ bottle to go with dinner.) The special Disney Dining events are what I miss. We used to do at least one of those every year and while really expensive, they were always fantastic. We went to several at the Golden Oak Summerhouse and one at Citrico's. Hopefully, those will eventually come back as well.

The markup for food and especially alcohol at WDW table service restaurants far exceeds the 20%. It encourages diners to go to TS and spend excess amounts of money to realize the "value". It'll be back, once things get back to normal. Whenever that will be!

TIW is not dead. It will be back, just like the dining plans will be back.
