Rules For This Year's Annual Avatar Contest!

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Official WDWMagic.com Avatar Contest!

This year's contest will consist of a record 11 topics! We'll run all 11 contests at the same time, which means overall, these will need to last 2 weeks to allow everyone time to make one for each if they want to. We're bringing back 5 topics from last year's contest, and bringing in 5 new ones, most of which are based on your feedback from the last contest OR the recent thread.

Here's how it works:

- Everyone is allowed to submit 1 avatar per contest.

- Each contest has a different avatar topic.

- This year's 11 avatar topics are as follows:

Magic Kingdom: Anything from the MK!
Epcot: Anything from Epcot!
Disney-MGM Studios: Anything from the Studios!
Animal Kingdom: Anything from AK!
Downtown Disney: Anything from any part of DTD!
4 Parks in One: All 4 major parks must be included!
Resorts: Any resort inside WDW!
Water Parks: Anything from the 2 waterparks goes!
WDW at Night: Anything from WDW at night (fireworks, Illuminations, etc.)
Miscellaneous : Anything from WDW! Your choice!
Vintage: Anything from the old days!

- Each topic will have it's own thread. Please be sure to post your avatar in the correct thread.

IMPORTANT!!! DON'T FORGET! Avatars require the file size to be below 20k. Avatars larger than this will NOT be accepted! In other words, it has to be useable here on the forums, which also means no larger than 160 x 160 pixels.

These contests will all begin tonight and run through Wednesday, March 24th at 10:00pm CST. At that point all contests will be closed and voting will begin shortly after.

If you have questions or concerns, please post them in this thread only. The other 11 threads will be for their specific topics only.

All entries will make it into their respected topic's poll. The top 2 from each topic will make it into the Overall Favorites Poll.

For the few of you who read the initial post right away...I've added a new topic!!! There are now 11! The all important "Vintage" topic was inspired by the last wallpaper contest, and has been added. :)

Just my luck. Here I make all these avatars for folks and just when we're gonna have a contest my home pc bites the dust. I don't know exactly what the problem is yet. Looks like my hard drive is gone. Hopefully I'll get it working soon and get some entries in.

You can put whatever you like in the avatars, as long as they pertain to a particular topic. However, they're meant to be able to be used by everyone, so putting your name in it will sort of be pointless.

Actually, now that I've typed that, let's just say that your name CAN'T be in it. It just makes more sense. :)

Under where you type the message, theres a box with a button on the end that says "Browse"... just use that to find the picture...

I hope thats what you mean :)

Under the Smilies, it says "Options:"

under that "Attach file:"

There is a field with the button "Browse"... it's right in plain view... Right under where you type your reply to any thread...

Ah. It depends on which branch of the forums I go to. Because I can't post in the Test boards here goes nothing:

Cool idea! Unfortunately, there are a few things wrong.

1. The size. Obviously, this can't be used as an avatar because of it's size, and that's sort of the point of this being an avatar contest.

2. It doesn't have anything to do with WDW, which is also one of the main rules of the contest.

3. You need to post it in a particular contest thread. There shouldn't be ANY entries posted in this thread.

Good idea, though!! :)
