We just returned from WDW for a short stay and I noticed there was a LOT more trash everywhere. Why do people feel they have to throw their trash everywhere except in the trash can? There are trash cans all over the place for gosh sakes! How hard is it to put trash in a trash can? It was kinda depressing to see all of that. :(

On a totally different note, if you're going to Blizzard Beach (or any water park for that matter I'm sure) watch out in the lazy river for snakes. There was 2 long black snakes that were fixing to get in the water where we were. My brother saw them and said jokingly that some of the Animal Kingdom residents had escaped and pointed them out to the rest of us. Needless to say we got out at the next entry point. He told one of the life guards there on the side of the lazy river but really what can they do. By the time they got back there to where they were they were either in the lazy river or had slithered back into the woods. Just be cautious and keep an eye out everywhere you go.

Thanks guys!

I think those are harmless grass snakes.

This got me to thinking though....I wonder if aligators have ever found their way into the water parks. I've heard it's not uncommon in Florida to find them in your swimming pool. My wife and I have seen them at Fort Wilderness before.

As long as they pay their admission, I do not mind alligators and snakes.

I guess the only problem is stamping their hands for reentry. How do you do that with a snake?

 :lookaroun :lookaroun ok, going now.

i have seen a small green grass snake at blizzard beach. but no big, its wildlife u cant stop it. i dont think disney is going to go and stop non venomous snakes from entering one of these areas.

If I see a snake at any park, I will immediately activate my Park Hopper. They scare the heck out of me. I can't blame Disney for it though. They can't interfere with nature all the time.

Yes, it's too bad about the trash. Some people just need to be more respectful. I always look for a can to put my trash in. By the way, the ground is not a trash can.

This is why we don't let people with food into the lines at some of the rides. I know from special events when we do....the lines at space can become VERY bad.

btw there is a gator behind space mountain in its lake....well I don't know if its there anymore but the last time I saw it was in Sept I think.

A shark bit my surfboard when I was taking lessons at TL. I kicked it in the nose and it swam away.

And the instructor said my lessons were gonna be safe....:D

Well there are those gators in MK. You know, the ones in the river between Frontierland and Liberty Square. Those darn Florida Gators! They were eating all the Turkey Legs.

I love reptiles. I'd be "that cool guest" who grabs a handfull of grass/ garter snakes and returns them to the bushes with the whole park of guests like

I could see it now, going up to a group of young women like "wanna pet the snake?". :lookaroun

BTW grass snakes have NO FANGS so what can they do?

I was thinking of the same one. Haven't seen it in a few months though.

As for the trash thing, some people are so lazy and expect all cast to wait on them hand and foot. I would not want to see some of their homes.

I have a canal in the back of my house and I see a big gator at least once a week. In Florida, it's uncommon NOT to see one (meaning common to see one, for those of you that are like this-

Sorry for the offtopicness(new word!).

The only type of littering I would like to see around the park is loose bills. Throw away your money people! I also think it's mean and inconsiderate to just throw your food/trash away on the ground.

When I was at the Beach Club Villas last August, my family and I saw an alligator in one of the ponds. We didnt see it the rest of the trip, but we saw it that first day.
