Roy Disney at Philadelphia Film Festival 4/7/07

I just found out about this today. This weekend kicks of the 16th Annual Philadelphia Film Festival. They are featuring Disney all this weekend. Tonight is Fantasia, going to miss it because it's at 6:45. Tomorrow during the day they are doing "The Disney Cartoon: Nine Decades of Magic" beginning at 2:30, and then tomorrow night, "Inspiration Award: A Salute to Roy Disney", with Roy as the guest of honor. They're doing some stuff on Sunday to.

I'm not sure, but that would be somewhat of a hike going from City Hall to the Constitution center. (I think that's where it is being held?) I wish I knew earlier too! I got to meet Roy at a Save Disney event in Philly a few years ago. Real nice guy! This film festival sounds so cool!!!! :wave:

I prefer to ignore the "real" City Hall (and it's contents).

Philly has a film festival ? For 16 YEARS ??? How have I not heard about this :shrug: I've only stopped watching the news within the last 3 to 4 years and I used to work in Center city. Sounds like they need to get new publicists.

I totally agree...you'd think with something this big, and an annual event to boot, their would have been more advertising. Don't go into the city much but I check out PhillyBurbs.com and NBC10. com often enough that i should have seen something.
