Rotational and Reserved Dining?

I'm in the process of trying to plan for our disney dream cruise and was wondering, I will be on a 4 day/3 night cruise and trying to understand how rotational dining and reserved dining mix? When do you find out your rotational dining schedule? If you book Palo or Remy for one night, will you get to choose which two of the three rotational dining restaurants you want for the other two nights or will they choose for me?

You don't get to pick your rotation, but you can request one. Your Key to the World card, which you will get at check-in, will list your dining rotation. When you get onboard you can try to change either your rotation or your Palo/Remy reservation if you didn't get your request. :)

I sounded like such a geek when they asked me if I knew what dining room I was eating in for that night… haha anyway, even if you have questions when eating lunch… or idk maybe a second lunch or something they had people walking around helping you see where you are eating. I loved our ERA- Enchanted, Royal, Animators!

At some point after you board, you can go to the D Lounge and try to change your dining rotation. So make your Palo reservation online whenever you want. Then decide which rotational restaurant you're most willing to skip. Then when you check in, if your rotation makes you miss one of the restaurants that you really wanted to see, you can go to D Lounge and request a change. They will likely be able to accommodate you, although I can't promise that they will.

Also, you used to be able to go to D Lounge (or Rockin' Bar D/Wavebands, on the classic ships, or Studio Sea before that!) as soon as you boarded. But when I sailed a couple weeks ago, they gave us a time (1:00, I think) when reservations would be open for changes. So we had lunch first, then went to make our changes.

FYI, they always give a time, but it usually opens much sooner! :)

Someone already said it...call and request a specific seating...we're eating at Remy and Palo in May three days apart so it was possible to miss a place twice; we requested a Animators Palate heavy rotation since it's what got us to look into the cruise in the first place.

Hey Gang, I'm sailing on my first 3 nighter this August and had a few questions. When we had Pirate Night on our 4 nighter, we ate in one restaurant twice and had the regular menu and a pirate menu. How does it work when there are only three nights? Also, I want to book Palo for one of our nights and was wondering, are the seating times the same as in rotational dining? Thanks in advance.
